Food-Grade Liquid Smoke is a natural food additive with two main functions: preserving food and enhancing its smoky, grilled aroma. Made from 100% natural coconut shells, it is completely safe for consumption.
Liquid smoke is produced through the cooling and condensation of smoke from burned coconut shells in a sealed chamber (Pyrolysis process). Initially in gas form, the smoke is cooled and transformed into liquid through distillation, resulting in what is known as Liquid Smoke.
Its food-preserving ability comes from the presence of organic acids, phenolic compounds, and carbonyls. The phenolic compounds help eliminate bacteria and viruses that cause spoilage, while carbonyl compounds contribute to a fresh smoky aroma, making it an excellent natural flavor enhancer for grilled and smoked dishes.
